· Construction is under way on Floridian Key, a multifamily community in Florida City. The southwest Miami-Dade project by Five-Star Builders features 614 family-oriented town homes priced from the $200,000s.
· H&H Development broke ground on City Palms, a 10-story, mixed-use condominium development in downtown West Palm Beach. When it is completed next year, it will include 288 luxury residences and 24,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
· The Conservatory at Celebration Place, an energy-efficient 130,000-sq.-ft. office building at Celebration by the Overture Development Group was recently precertified by the U.S. Green Building Council with a LEED-CS Platinum rating -- the highest possible level. The project's features include a "green roof" and cisterns to capture rainwater for toilets and irrigation. Completion is expected in early 2008.
· TAO, a resort-style 26-story twin-tower residential development in Sunrise, is nearing a sellout, according to Weitzer Communities. TAO has 396 residences from the $500,000s to $800,000s. Both towers were "topped out" during the winter season.
· Construction has begun on Cabi Developers' Capital at Brickell, a high-rise Miami residential project. Completion of the 53- and 57-story towers is scheduled for early 2010.
· Toll Brothers announced that an 18-hole Greg Norman Signature Golf Course at Jupiter Country Club will be ready for play in the fall. The developer recently opened models on the 480-acre community, which will have 362 single-family luxury homes and approximately 166 town homes.
· Construction is under way on The Atrium on Ringling, an 18-story mixed-use development by the Leonard Garner Group. Completion is expected in fall 2008. Situated on 2.2 acres in downtown Sarasota, the building features 88 condos, 40,000 square feet of office space, retail space and a parking garage.
· Heathrow-based developer Wescar plans to break ground this summer on Deer Lakes, a 40-acre gated community in Orlando's Heathrow area. The development will have 31 single-family home lots ranging from $350,000 to more than $800,000.
· St. John's Villas in Lantana, with 15 condos priced from $1.4 million to $2.3 million, recently opened its sales center.
· The Related Group launched sales for the second phase of Oasis on the Bay, a two-tower waterfront project with 475 residences starting at $175,000. "We are offering all the excitement and luxury of today's Miami, but at preboom prices," says Jorge Perez, chairman and CEO of the Miami-based developer. |
